Boston vs Tampa Bay Prediction

Ok, so game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final is just about to start so I thought I'd jot down some thoughts about tonight's game.

Boston coming off a big win and big performance is looking to keep it rolling, while Tampa back home now for the 2nd half of the first 4 games is looking to build back some momentum.

Tampa needs to play solid in front of Dwayne Roloson, while Boston needs to keep being physical and relentless like they have been all playoffs.

My Prediction: Lightning 4 Bruins 3

If You Could Go Back In Time...

The Tyler Seguin show was in full effect last night as you might be able to say he single handedly gave Boston their first win of the best of seven series against the Tampa Bay Lighting last night. With 2 points in his first NHL post season game and then to back it up with 4 more points (2goals and 2 assists), he is really starting to show the dominant player he can be in the future. With the Edmonton Oilers not even making the post season and 2010 First Overall Pick Taylor Hall finishing with 42 points in his first season, do you think the Oilers are kicking themselves thinking maybe it should of been Tyler instead of Taylor? Or maybe, should they of went with the Rookie of The Year candidate Jeff Skinner who was a 50+ goal juggernaut in his last season of junior hockey... all these questions are debatable so id like to hear what you think about after almost a full NHL season who you would of picked if you where the Oilers.
*Sorry Leafs fans, apparently Kessel was going to be better than the 2nd overall selection.*

*Number in bracket indicated what number each player was selected overall*

George Foreman Grill

The name says it all. I am finally a proud owner of a George Foreman Grill. I have envied these machines since the day they came out, and after several unsuccessful attempts to woe my parents into buying me one, I had to come up with some story about how I am incompetent enough to use a barbecue or conventional oven, but the important thing to take away from this is that now I will be cooking lots of food...and no I will not be cooking for anyone else so don't even ask :)

Until next time,

Sleep Well My Darlings.

Monday's Are Always The Toughest Days

Monday, Monday, Monday. Who the heck likes Monday's?

This day of the week signifies that i have to get up in the morning and go to ugh school.... thank god I only have to stay in that prison they call school until 11:35am ever day. To pass time i normally catch up on some reading that has no relation to the school material that is being taught. I sit in the back row of all my classes out of common courtesy not to disrupt those who actually want to try and learn something. Maybe I should invest in buying a laptop so that I can blog during school so i don't have to waste time after school blogging. But going back to the thought of Monday being the toughest day of the week, it also means that I have to go workout again after taking 2 days off and just sitting on my fanny all weekend. So that's where I'm off to now, hoping that when the 2011 - 2012 season comes around, I'll be able to get out on the ice in the 3rd period.

Until next time,

Take care my darlings.

The Players Championship: My Least Favourite Sport To Watch On TV

Its not Sunday evening, and after a very unproductive day I'm sitting on the couch in the basement watching what could quite possibly the most boring sport to watch, besides bowling... even watching darts will get me more excited. Anywho, KJ Choi and David Toms are battling it out in the play off holes, and anyone could win this tournament. But then again who cares...right?

Today's Plan

Well it's my seconds full day of blogging and I thought I'd share what I'm hoping to complete today to consider my day successful. For the record, im running off about 4 hours of solid sleep so bear with me if my blogs make absolutely no sense, but then again, that just might be me. Well im off to Chapters now to pick up a book that has been highly recommended (The Game by Neil Strauss)

Until later,

Rule #1 Always Protect Yourself

Well, its just a tad after midnight and I'm enjoying a nice relaxing weekend at my cousins house. Hanging out with a good friend of mine Tyler, while watching Million Dollar Baby, i cant help but notice how many times her trainer says "protect yourself". Maybe i should remember these words of wisdom before i decided to drop the gloves in the 2011-2012 season.

Beauty or Beauty

Under any athletes gear, the ability to differentiate whether someone is "A Beauty" or "Has Beauty" can be difficult. Both of these elements are normally dictated to the way that certain someone decides to carry themselves off the ice. The personality element will the determine whether they are "A Beauty" or not, but I'm here to talk about the "Beauty" as in the looks of a an athlete, to which I have been taking note of in the Junior Reports on yahoo.ca as some off the most outstanding hairstyles of recent memory. With this being said I encourage everyone to strive to have the most outrageous hair style possible, because before you know it, you could be a prime candidate to replace Mr. Clean!

My New Blog: Day 1

Dear Readers,

I'd like to thank you for expressing your interest in reading my blog. I'm confident that what you will read on here will help you understand the stress, pressure and social microscope that a professional athlete has to live with. Aside from that, I will show you what normal (somewhat) life we live away from the rink and during the summer... but remember even though the hockey season is 8-9 months long, to be successful it takes year round dedication.

Enjoy. http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/roster/show/id/367
